Carbon fibre roving

We supply a range of carbon roving spools for winding, pultrusion, hand lay-up and other special applications.

Rovings are bundles or strands of many individual continuous filaments lying almost parallel and straight alongside each other. They are held together by a binder, in this case the sizing.
The strands can easily be fanned out or combined into thicker bundles and laid up.

They are therefore well suited to hand lamination and many other processing methods, and allow the reinforcement to be aligned optimally with the direction of load, for example as tension/compression caps in wing spars, struts for complex structures, longitudinal and radial reinforcements in tube constructions, stabilisation of cut-outs and frame structures, local reinforcements and much more.
